Rev. Akisha Sharon Jefferson is a Prince George’s County, Maryland native and the Founder and Pastor of First Sundays. First Sunday’s is a cutting edge 90-minute worship service that is held on the first Sunday of every month. First Sunday’s mission is to renew, recharge, resuscitate, and reconnect the minds, hearts and spirits of the people to Jesus through worship, fellowship, love, and the word of God.
In 2012, she published her first book entitled, Don’t Wait Until Sunday!, a daily devotional for women in need of an extra push, some additional encouragement, or spiritual transformation that speaks to almost every situation women encounter on a day-to-day basis.
Akisha is the owner of The Job Coach, a DMV career service specializing in job development, career counseling, and interview preparation. In 2017, The Job Coach placed 125 people in new jobs. The Job Coach also recruits for several companies in the Washington, DC metro area. Before launching The Job Coach, Akisha was the owner and managing partner of Greene and Vaden, LLP, which did business as MaidPro of Capitol Hill and employed 25 full-time employees and serviced well over 1500 clients a year.
Akisha is the second of five children born to Cornelius Levi Greene and the late Sharon Brown-Greene. She is the product of the Prince George’s County Public School system and has a certificate in Paralegal Studies from Georgetown University, a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowie State University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Howard University. She is ordained under Family New Life Ministries and Rev. Dr. Barbara Taylor is her ministerial covering. She is a coach, an author, an entrepreneur, a leader, a teacher, a preacher, and a motivator who has been called for such a time as this to empower, equip, and encourage the world, one person at a time.
Akisha resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland, with her husband Kelly and their daughter, Tierra LaShae.
